Hi! I’m Katherine Savage, but my friends call me Kat. I’m a busy mum of two young girls, and I’m lucky enough to have turned my passion for embroidery into a career I love.
I first learned embroidery the traditional way—from my grandmother on the Isle of Wight. In today’s fast-paced world, passing down skills like these has become less common, but it’s something I’ll always treasure. From the moment I picked up my first hoop, I was hooked, and embroidery has been a part of my creative journey ever since.
With a First-Class Honours degree in Product Design & Development from the London College of Fashion, I went on to build a career in fashion buying. But deep down, I always dreamed of having my own creative business.
In 2020, after the birth of my daughters, I took the leap and launched Treasure Kave—a space where I could share my love for colour, stitching, and thoughtful design. I believe in creating beautiful, high-quality, fun, and sustainable embroidery kits that will be treasured for years to come, with designs suitable for all abilities.
