Stick and Stitch fabric – What l recommend

I think stick and stitch fabric is brilliant.

If you’ve never heard of this before l’ll explain what it is and how you use it. It’s a thin film of fbric with a sticky back. You can print a pattern onto the fabric and then cut out the shape you want to use. With your pattern now in your hand, you peel off the soft side from the paper and then position it onto the fabric, garment of your choice. Then you simply stitch your pattern and when finished your pattern can be washed away using luke warm water. Any stubborn bits come off easily with a small paint brush or some slightly hotter water.

It really is as simple as peel, stick, stitch and wash!

Here are the other big benefits to stick and stitch fabric:

  • It works perfectly to transfer a pattern onto dark fabric which would otherwise be very tricky.
  • Perfect for small or large projects. I buy A4 sheets but you can buy longer rolls too.
  • It works nicely as a stabiliser when you’re stitching.
  • The fabric can be repositioned up to around 5 times before it loses it’s stick.
  • Can be used over the top of other embroidery when stitching over layers

And these are just the main benefits!

I sell designs on stick and stitch fabric, which you can find in my shop. As l write this l have 10 packs of designs, each containing up to 9 designs.

However, l’m also often asked is there a blank brand with sheets l recommend and where to buy it. So l’ve looked around and found this Bosal brand. I’ve bought some and tested and it works perfectly. Please find the link below.

What will you stitch with it? I’d love to know in the comments ❤️

Happy stitching, Kat x
