Looking for a fun and creative evening to get together with friends or meet new ones?
Join me for a Sip and Stitch Repair + Stitch on Clothing Embroidery Workshop at The Plough and Harrow, Long Ditton. This class is perfect if you’ve got a once loved garment that is in need of a little tlc or a full make over. Simply bring along the garment and l’ll bring all the knowledge and inspiration to make it a new favourite again.
This friendly and hands-on session will introduce you to beginner embroidery stitches and beading techniques.
Led by Katherine Savage of Treasure Kave Embroidery, you’ll learn essential stitches for stitching on clothing like back stitch, whipped back stitch, split stitch and french knots. You’ll also learn the best way to transfer a pattern to clothing, everything to consider about placement of stitching to ensure it looks great for years to come and all my top stitching on clothing tips.
In this workshop, you receive a full kit with all the materials you need to revamp your garment. You will need to bring a garment or two with you. Woven fabrics are best for beginners and for most of my threads. If you want to bring knitwear, we can repairs it, but you will need to bring some wool yarn to stitch with in a similar material.
It’s the perfect activity to enjoy with a friend—relax, chat, and get creative in a warm and welcoming setting.
