I’m excited to be running a fun embroidery and crafty classes for 7-12 year olds over the May half term.
So if you have a crafty kids that would like to learn some stitching or learn new stitches they haven’t done before, then l’d love to see them.
I’m still working on the younger girls 7-9 project, but it’ll be fun and colourful and possibly include a rainbow!
For those age 9+ and confident with a needle a thread, they can do a fun lilac bag with plenty of stitching. Photographed
These workshops are suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience of hand sewing too.
During the workshop l’ll will be introduce a range of beginner hand embroidery stitches, starting with some easier ones and these will build up as your confidence grows (more for the older and more confident stitchers).
➡️ Photos of some examples can be seen
Each child will be given a kit which includes everything you need to complete your embroidered hoop. The kit includes a booklet of instructions on each stitch too, so you can continue stitching at home.
You’ll receive the kit with all materials on the day.
At Surbiton Hill Methodist church, we have a lovely spacious room which also has it’s own bathroom so no need to leave.
I provide snacks and drinks for the children.
Katherine the teacher is fully DBS checked and has been teaching embroidery to children for many years now.
➡️For booking please select the age group / date you would like and in the comments section if you could let me know the name of your child and email address. If you haven’t booked with me before, l will follow up by email with full details of the session and make sure l have emergency contact details.
I’m really excited for this fun class to kick of 2024. Katherine 🙂
